T blustar Introduces New Distributor in Southeast Asia
Tblustar is proud to welcome our new partner in SouthEast Asia!
Our new distributor, Ms. Lamphuan Thelander, will provide T blustar portable toilets in Thailand & Myanmar, Laos & Cambodia.
In the last years, Thailand has greatly improved access to sanitation facilities, in urban areas as well as in rural areas. The government is now focusing on reaching the unreached populations and ensuring that the high percentage of coverage is maintained and sustained.
93% of Thailand population has access to improved sanitation facilities, and more than 95% has access to an improved water source.
Thailand is also transitioning from Asian-style squat toilet to Western-style toilets. The Western-style “sit-down” toilet is becoming more and more prevalent, and can be found in all tourist areas. Another reason for this change is that the population is aging (14% of the population was over 60 years old in 2015), and the Squat system is more difficult to use by the elderly population.

Tell us about you. What are your hobbies? Or any personal details that will make someone feel comfortable to reach out to you.
I have a big family: it’s me, my husband and our 4 children, and let’s not forget my 7 sibblings and numerous of cousins in Thailand!
My Number 1 hobby is hiking in the nature, looking for spunges/mushrooms. I also enjoy sports, running and so forth.
Where are you located?
T blustar Southeast Asia headquarters are located in the Chonburi area, aproximatively 25 km from the biggest seaport, and 100 km from our capital Bangkok. From here we can reach all Thailand and neighbouring countries very easily.
How or Why did you get in the Portable Sanitation in Thailand?
I started because my husband was in the business, both in Sweden and in Thailand.
What are some common terms for Portable Toilet in Thailand?
In english it is Portable toilet or Portable restroom, in thai we use “Hong nam”.
What do you think is the most difficult task of Portable Toilet Rental Operators in Thailand?
For Thailand and neighbouring countries, the distance and transportation is always a challenge. But now, with the innovative portable toilet RapidLoo I believe we have a great advantage. With this product, operators will be able to be much more efficient to transport toilets to the construction site or event. This will allow to save time and money.
Another difficulty is related to the traffic situation: Thailand is now among the worst in the world in terms of road accidents.
What is the Portable Sanitation situation in Thailand today?
We now see a great demand, especially in construction areas. However, the event business is also rapidly growing.
The portable toilet business is in an early stage in Thailand, compared with Europe or North America.
What would you like to improve in the Portable Sanitation situation in Thailand?
I would like to see more sanitation possibilities and options in the rural areas.
Also at touristic places, like the beaches, places of interest and so forth. As I said the industry is in an early stage here, so the demand is high.
What do you think about any particular T blustar product?
I believe RapidLoo is the key and leading product of the company. The advantages it can bring are very important, both from a competitive and an environmental point of view. Think about being able to transport 4 units in the space of 1! No competitor will be able to compete with this, and we like to be eco-friendly.
I also think the model Spike has great potential for the construction industry, because of its competitive price and long durability.
